Why are the wretched things not in a straight line? Why? Why? I think I must be an evil person because I'm quite enjoying torturing characters. More than being nice to them. I have no ideas for the other bingo I signed up to.

The more time I spend on the internet the more I am surprised by people. I really don't understand the folks in a certain satirical community. There is a line over which you do not cross with regards to fandom and real life. Why do you constantly wish to cross this line? Especially in this fandom. Maybe they're all a bunch of twelve year olds. It is the only way to explain how you think it is ok to tweet a real life person a link to a certain secrets comm. Where there are probably secrets about that person. And then the deletion of the post when everyone told you it WAS NOT ok? I wouldn't be surprised if people stopped writing fic and started locking anything they have already written down.

So I can look forward to a £1000 increase in my tax allowance. Yay. A pay freeze if my pay is over £21K because I work in the evil public sector. Does that include London waiting? Does anyone know? Oh and I can also look forward to a 1 in 4 chance of being made redundant. And taxes are going up. Thanks a lot budget.

So I don't know what happened with the Tennis. I had this really bad feeling of foreboding this afternoon. I did not feel good at all, there was this heavy presence of dread hanging over me before I'd even switched to the bbc website. Then I kept checking the score and not liking what I was seeing. So in the end, I stopped checking because it wasn't good. And I was meant to be working. Anyway this feeling of dread left me around quarter to three - so I don't know what that means. Had the match finished? Did a alternative sporting year gods turn their attention back to the football? I heard North Korea was getting thumped 7 NIL - they obviously needed some help.

Anyway I'm in a happy place not knowing the score. I'm avoiding the bbc website, newspaper websites, the news, the radio etc. I'm sure my curiosity will get the better of me sooner or later. I'll see how long I manage to keep from searching to see if He Who Shall Not Be Named had a Graf moment. When Graf got knocked out by Laurie McNeil in the first round when she was defending champion, I hated McNeil sfm. I would watch her to see if someone knocked her out. My mother liked her but she hated tennis so what does she know. Still to this very day just her name sets my teeth on edge. Beat my favourite I hate you forever!

To which I say WHAT THE EVERLASTING FUCK?

That's two and a half hours of my life I will not get back. What on earth was the point of that film? From what I could tell those that liked it had never watched the series with any regularity. The characters have regressed if that was at all possible. Shallow, shallow, shallow. It wasn't particularly funny either.

I'm even more lacking in sympathy for David Laws than I was last night. If you are a closeted multi-millionaire politician why exactly are you claiming taxpayers money to pay rent to your lover (who you don't view as your partner because you don't have a joint bank account or joint circle of friends)? Yes ok it wasn't against the rules when you started but was it morally right? What would the man on the street have thought of that arrangement? If you want privacy why claim at all? Its not like you need the money. It is interesting that his claims for utilities etc went down quite substantially once he had to provide receipts.

The Torygraph has been sitting on this story for a very long time, the question is why. And how did they find out that Laws was living with a lover? If they hadn't even told close friends or family? Was it a guess? I know people are blaming Campbell, I agree it's a possibility but I don't think it was him. I hope for Laws' & the Coalition's sake that he hasn't got any other skeletons in his closet. It's 50/50 whether he's going to survive this one, another scandal might tip it over the balance into resignation.

It's a real shame because he's got more financial experience in his little finger than the Chancellor has in his entire body. We do actually need him at the Treasury.

Why didn't he admit this during the witch hunt last year? Surely he must have been a bit worried? The more I think about this the more annoyed I get. Obviously money doesn't buy common sense or a moral compass.

I happened to be searching livejournal for a UK politics community because I seem to be obsessed by it at the moment. Found uk_lolitics . As the name suggests it is a bit of an irreverent look at UK politics.

While browsing the various entries stumbled across a link for the lolitics anonymous fic meme  After (accidentially) clicking the link I discovered that one pairing appears to be extremely popular. They have been open about a week or so and seem to have over 600 comments. Who knew that UK Political RPF was so popular?

Now I read and enjoyed Virginia Andrews as much as the next person but this is some really fucked up shit. I could not read the article. The headline and pictures disturbed me.
